Objective To explore the status quo and major influencing factors of supportive services needs for elderly chronic diseases family caregiversso as to provide basis for related organization and department to develop targeted supportive services for caregivers. Methods It used convenient sampling method,self-made questionnaire to survey 320 elderly chronic diseases family caregivers from two medical institutions in Yunnan province,analyzed the needs and influencing factors of the caregivers. Results The score of supportive services needs of family caregivers was(93.82±16.13). The score of each dimensionality was that professional medical support services demand was(42.66±5.52),community support services demand was(23.53±7.61),personal feelings demand was(14.19±4.52)and policy demand was(13.4±2.99). The highest three demands of the items were that the elderly medication related medical information,community policy and professional telephone for help. The lowest three demands of the items were thatthe community provides collocation for the elderly,food delivery and escort services. The results of multiple linear regression analysis showed that ADL of elderly patients,relationship with caregivers,health status of caregivers,time of care and age of caregivers were main factors which influenced the needs of supportive services for elderly chronic family caregivers. Conclusions It is impendency for the demand of supportive services needs for elderly chronic diseases family caregivers,among which the demand of professional medical supportive services is the highest. There are many factors of influencing care demand for this group. n urgent need for supportive services,professional medical supportive services have the highest demand.
