From the perspective of integrated healthcare services, this paper analyzes the advantages of medical social work participating in community health service system, namely, service concept advantage, professional advantage and organization advantage. The organizational advantages include that from focusing on a single patient to paying attention to overall health environment; from single subject participation to multi-agent consultation and co-governance; from disease treatment to the improvement of overall health level. It also puts forward that the practical path of medical social work participating in community health service system, that is, institutional construction; development and improvement of service system and mode; improvement of information management ability; training of medical social work talents
